The Conjuring 2: The Enfield Poltergeist Cast, News: Lauren Esposito joins Patrick Wilson, Vera Farmiga; Set photos taken during filming released

Filming is currently under way for The Conjuring 2: The Enfield Poltergeist and Australian actress Lauren Esposito was recently confirmed to be the latest addition to the cast. Set photos have also made their way online.

As revealed by Deadline, Australian new comer Lauren Esposito was cast to co-star in the film. According to the trade, she was chosen during a lengthy search in US, England, and Australia. Details about her characters are presently undisclosed but she is set to join Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga who are set to reprise their roles as Ed Warren and Lorraine Warren.

Filming has also started for sequel which according to Screenrant will be based on the 1970 investigation of Lorraine and Ed Warren in Enfield, England. The case involves two teenagers who were said to be a part of paranormal disturbances.

Wan's photo on the set was also revealed by the director in his Instagram account while a photo was released by New Line Cinema in their official Twitter account which shows the set's blessing by a priest early in the morning during the first day. Filming for the forthcoming horror feature will be done in Los Angeles and London.

Aside from Wilson, Farmiga, and Esposito, Dread Central reports that the film's cast also includes Simon McBurney, Frances O'Connor, Franka Potente, Simon Delaney, Maria Doyle Kennedy, Patrick McAuley, Benjamin Haigh and Madison Wolfe.

The first film earned $318 million from its $20 million budget in 2013. The upcoming The Conjuring 2: The Enfield Poltergeist written by Wan along with Chad and Carrey Hayes was later revised by David Leslie Johnson. It will be produced by Wan, Peter Safran, and Rob Cowan and will be released on June 10, 2016.
