iPhone 6s Plus may have broken its the sales record of its predecessor, but Apple's newest flagship still has numerous competitions in the smartphone arena. One of which is Sony's very own Xperia Z5. The said device is noted to rival the tech giant's newest version of iPhone when it comes to specs, features, pricing and reviews.
According to the review made by TechnoBuffalo, the iPhone 6s Plus have positive and negative side. The 6s Plus' advantage are the following: it has a great camera, a solid battery life, a Touch ID faster that ever and lastly a beautiful design. Meanwhile, the only disadvantage that was noticed with the device is that it doesn't support fast charging.
Meanwhile, iPhone 6s Plus' competitor also has its good and bad side. Stuff recently made a review and it stated both sides of the coin. The good side of this device is that it has a neat fingerprint scanner with a Punchy screen, not to mention its attractive colours and glass back.
On the other hand, Z5's battery life is its primary downfall. It is said to be worse than previous Zs, making the device awfully warm often. Apart from that, it also feels late to the party and lastly it has a harsher in-hand feel than its rivals.
Moreover, Boosh made a keen comparison between these two flagships from different brands. For the appearance, both iPhone 6S Plus and Sony Z5 Premium are termed to have lazy designs since they are nearly same with the generic of the company.
The iPhone 6S Plus features almost no changes compared to its forerunner in terms of design. But then, there are enhancements like the durable aluminum used to build the phone and the increased weight that it brings along with it.
On the other hand, the Z5 Premium looks like several other Xperia phones. However, its glossy finish at the back certainly adds some value to the device.
Different from the iPhone 6S or several other phones with this technology, Sony has come up with an instinctive placement of this sensor. It is combined with the lock/unlock button on the side of the handset. This all-in-one incorporation works extremely well, and the phone can be unlocked within seconds.
For the display feature of iPhone 6S Plus, it has the 3D touch technology. The Apple Inc. claims to have restored the entire display mechanism to facilitate this feature. This technology can recognize pressure applied on the screen to offer context menus or open the app itself.
Furthermore, the Z5 Premium's display is the 4K resolution on the gorgeous 5.5-inch screen. This device gives four times the resolution as that on the iPhone 6S Plus. The Apple device manages a pixel density of just over 400 PPI which looks pale in comparison with the 800 PPI offered by the Z5 Premium.
As for the price, the iPhone 6S Plus is one of the most expensive phones on the market up to date at $950 for the 128 GB variant; while Z5 Premium costs $1000.
