Huawei, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer, has sent out media invites for its upcoming event in Beijing on October 10 where it will reveal the new Huawei Honor Play 5X with the anticipated two variants of Huawei P9.
According to Technobuffalo, It's not clear what the event on October 10 will focus on. However, the company has recently provided filings which could offer some information. The new Huawei device is named as the Honor Play 5X that just passed through the TENAA (China's equivalent of the FCC), and indicated that it could be next in line to launch. The device is speculated to boast a huge 4000mAh battery, along with a MediaTek chip.
What's more, Huawei could unveil another handset that is stated something more high-end, the device is the rumored Huawei P9. Based on the device's recent leak, it has a pair of rear-facing cameras and may also sport the company's new Kirin 950 processor. It is reported to be available in white or gold versions.
As for more of the Honor Play 5X specifications, International Business Times reports that it has a 16 GB of internal memory that can be increased through a microSD card up to 32 GB. It will also sport a 13 mega-pixel back shooter with LED flash and a 5 megapixel on the front for selfies.
This new Huawei device is a dual SIM smartphone that will run on Android 5.1 Lollipop with Huawei's proprietary Emotion UI. The handset also supports connectivity choices such as 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS with AGPS support. The smartphone is predicted to come in 5.5-inch full-HD display with 1080x1920 pixels.
On the other hand, another Huawei handset that could be announced on October 10th is the latest Huawei P9. A recent leak suggests that a pair of labels for the rear camera of the device has been spotted, hinting that the device will sport a dual camera set-up in the back along with laser auto-focus. It is said that one of the labels is for a variant of the phone named "LTE" while the other label shows a name "Delux", reports Phone Arena.
Huawei is all set to launch an announcement on October 10 in Beijing. One report predicts that whatever the company unveils, whether it will be the Huawei Honor Play 5X or the Huawei P9; it is possible that it will be limited to China at first.
