Android 6.0 Marshmallow Update Leaked to Hit Samsung Galaxy S5, S6 Edge, S6 Edge+, Note 5, Note 4, Alpha, A8, A7

A recent leak emerged out of China reveals the new list of Samsung's smartphones that will allegedly receive the Android 6.0 Marshmallow include the Galaxy S5, S6, S6 Edge and Edge+, Note 4 and 5, Galaxy Alpha, A8, A7 and more.

Master Herald reports that four of the existing smartphones and phablets from Samsung including the Galaxy S6, the Galaxy S6 Edge, the Galaxy S6 Edge+, and the Galaxy Note 5 have already received a confirmation that they will get the latest mobile OS Android Marshmallow. It is said that the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for the aforementioned Samsung's flagship smartphones will be greater than the ones previously delivered as it officially broke ground into the market last April this year.

What's more, apart from the four current Samsung smartphones, it is reported that there will be more other handsets from Samsung released late in 2013 and 2014 to acquire the Android 6.0 Marshmallow updates.

A report from BGR seemed to support the aforesaid statement above saying that it wouldn't be surprising if 2014's Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy S5 will receive the upgrade as well. On the other hand, it is now guaranteed that the Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 edge, Galaxy Note 5, and the Galaxy S6 edge+ will receive the Android Marshmallow.

If the current reports are to be believed, then it indicates that the Galaxy S4 and Note 3, the older handsets won't be upgraded to 6.0 Marshmallow. In addition, the Galaxy S6 Duos and Note 4 Duos devices are not listed, too. It seems odd if those devices will not catch the updates along with their non-Duos colleagues, and it's unclear if the list infers that the variations are incorporated with their more popular siblings, Tech Times wrote.

Some of the company's opponents, including HTC, Motorola and Google have already set official announcements with regard of which of their devices will be getting the update, as they have already flashed factory images of the update for devices that they have declared to receive it. On the other hand, It's not certain whether the South Korean Tech giant will announcing a confirmed list of devices that are prepared to get the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update.
