'Kingsman: The Secret Service 2' is all set to begin filming sometime in April 2016. However, this may cause some conflict for lead actor Taron Egerton since he has also signed on to Leonardo DiCaprio's 'Robin Hood: Origins' which may not yet conclude shooting by that time.
According to ScreenCrush, breakout star Taron Egerton will reprise his role as Gary "Eggsy" Unwin in the planned follow-up to director Matthew Vaughn's action-comedy film released in February 13, 2015. Vaughn has confirmed involvement to write the sequel but it remains unknown whether he will be back to helm it. It was reported that the principal photography for the spy film was announced to begin on April 2016.
Egerton has also been offered a role on producer Leonardo DiCaprio's upcoming film 'Robin Hood: Origins' and this may clash with his filming schedule for the second 'Kingsman' installment. According to the Independent, the lengthy shooting for 'Robin Hood' may begin in February and is unlikely to conclude by April. It was suggested that because 20th Century Fox has the power over Lionsgate, the studio may take Egerton in the event that he is needed on 'Kingsman'.
Speculations have emerged regarding possible recasting but Fox and Lionsgate may reach amiable negotiations and wouldn't need to go through such measures. According to Collider, it was also speculated that Colin Firth's Harry Hart a.k.a. Galahad might make it back to the sequel somehow. With Vaughn still working on the script, no further details have been announced.
'Kingsman: The Secret Service 2' is a planned comedy spy film to follow the preceding 2010 film of the same name. The first in the series was based on the comic books created by Dave Gibbons and Mark Millar. It received positive reviews from critics and earned a staggering $412 million against an $81 million budget, according to Box Office Mojo.
