J.J. Abrams' "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" will reportedly make its red carpet premiere on December 14th in Los Angeles, California. Meanwhile, John Boyega, who will be playing the role of Finn, has recently revealed the person who has mentored him in his career -none other than "Iron Man" actor, Robert Downey Jr.
According to Hollywood Reporter, the highly anticipated sequel will be unveiled at a massive world premiere in Los Angeles, California four days before its official debut. After it jumps into hyperspace, the film will head for a premiere in London, followed by other events around the world.
The Los Angeles premiere is believed to be one of the hottest tickets in recent Hollywood history, as executives, agents and journalists compete for a coveted invite. Also, Disney is reportedly attempting to keep the film's secrets under wraps, so it is possible that screenings for press and cast crew will be minimal.
As to which of the city's theaters would host the premiere, Rolling Stone reported that both Disney and Lucasfilm didn't confirm or revealed yet the location. It is also unclear whether or not tickets will be made available to the general public.
Meanwhile, actor John Boyega, who will be portraying a new character named Finn, admitted to having "Iron Man" star Robert Downey Jr. as his personal mentor. Boyega told V Magazine about the advice he received from Downey Jr. and recalled: "He's helped me prepare for how my life is going to change and that has been inspiring." He went on to say that "I'm talking to someone who understands the power of choices, both positive and negative."
Robert Downey Jr. is not only the inspiring man in John Boyega's life. Ever since landing the role of Finn, the actor got the chance to work with "Star Wars" legends - namely, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, and Mark Hamill.
In the meantime, fans should mark their calendars, as "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" knocks theater doors starting December 14. But, of course, a little patience as it goes straight to Los Angeles, California first.
"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" opens for the rest of the United States on December 18th.
