'The Flash' Season 2 Update: Episode 1 Premieres; Teaser Trailer For Episode 2 Shows Barry Allen And Jay Garrick

"The Flash" Season 2 Episode 1 has premiered and fans are definitely glad that the show opened strongly. A trailer for the second episode has been released showing Barry Allen and Jay Garrick.

In a report by Den of Geek, the first episode entitled "The Man Who Saved Central City" opened with Barry, Cisco, Caitlin, and the rest of the people from S.T.A.R. Labs celebrating their victory. However, a time jump was featured six months after the opening scene with the gang all over Central City.

In the first episode of "The Flash," it was also seen that Barry Allen and Detective Joe West were investigating a murder at a nuclear facility. Barry was seen as a police scientist and not the Flash that fans know.

Pop Matters also reported that the first episode answered some of the cliffhangers from the first season finale. Barry was working on his own as he had been struggling with guilt over his inability to save all the people he cares for. He is said to be afraid to lose other people whom he loves and is afraid to get hurt if he lets them get too close to him.

As for Cisco, he has joined the police department as part of the new Anti-Metahuman Task Force. Caitlin, on the other hand, took a job at a place called Mercury Labs. By the end of the episode, the team was back to a place that fans will recognize. Barry realized he cannot save the city without his friends especially after the Atom Smasher came out.

A sneak peek for episode 2 of "The Flash" was also released and according to Melty, it showed Jay Garrick helping Barry discover his powers and know more about what he can do. In the video, Zoom was also spotted. More on Zoom, executive producer Andrew Kreisberg said in a statement, "Part of the mystery of the season is who or what is underneath the Zoom outfit, and so we wanted to do something like James Earl Jones as Darth Vader."

"The Flash" Season 2 episode 1 showed "The Flash" team separated but towards the end, the characters were back at S.T.A.R. Labs as they decided to get back as a team after Atom Smasher was revealed. The show airs Tuesdays on The CW.
