Movie adaptations of popular comic books such as Deadpool are certainly all the rage in Hollywood nowadays, especially with the advent of shared universes. However, according to Ryan Reynolds who is set to play the titular anti-hero next year, he is not intimidated by other superhero films and stays confident.

MCU is moving forward for phase 3 with the upcoming Captain America: Civil War, and DC is further extending their universe with Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice while the mutants are also set to be back in the big screen for X-Men: Apocalypse.

However, as reported by Digital Spy, Reynolds thinks that Deadpool has one ability that will make him stand out. "I mean, Deadpool's greatest superpower is annoying the shit out of people", Reynolds said. "So I imagine that he would spark a heavy wave of ire from any one of those groups", he added.

According to Den of Geek, although the making of the film took time, Reynolds believe that the fans are the greatest contributors to its actuality. "The fans are the ones that leaked the test footage which really was never meant for anyone besides in-house studio people. That's really what go it made", he said. "I wouldn't say I spent every single day emailing the studio heads at Fox", Reynolds noted.

Moreover, according to Game Spot, producer Simon Kinberg revealed that talks about the film's sequel are already ongoing. According to Kinberg, talks about the sequel started while making the film, and added that "when you make a film like this that's from a serialized source material, you hope that it's the first of many", Kinberg said.

Deadpool is within the X-Men universe and is a Marvel character under Fox. The upcoming film is directed by Tim Miller and written by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick. It also stars Morena Baccarin, Gina Carano, Ed Skrein, Andre Tricoteux, and T.J. Miller. It is set to hit theaters on February 12, 2016.
