Following the success of the first Kombat Pack of the fighting video game, Mortal Kombat X, fans must be delighted to know that some non-Kombatants may make it to the Kombat Pack 2 confirmed to be come out next year. Also, new details on the next DLC have been revealed.
NetherRealm Studios has recently announced that Kombat Pack 2 will be released early next year. Also, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has confirmed that the game developer is currently developing this new DLC as reported by Yibada.
The new Kombat Pack will contain four new playable characters that are yet to be revealed, a different environment, and also new character skins. The new DLC will be available within the first half of 2016.
To keep the fans in the loop, Mortal Kombat X co-creator Ed Boon has recently tweeted a picture with 4 unknown and shaded characters with a large caption that says, "Who's next?" Obviously, Boon is once again teasing the fans like he always does.
This time, he appears to be urging the fans to go into a guessing game from a pool of guest characters such as The Joker, Sektor, Cyrax, Noob Saibot, Elvira, Indian Jones, and Neo as reported earlier. Other guest characters, Rorschach, Marcus Fenix, Ash William, and Spawn are also being considered.
In addition, Design & Trend reported that Boon teased Sektor and Alien where he posted images serving as a hint on the possible inclusion of these two characters in the next DLC.
How about "Jurassic Kombat?" That's exactly what Boon tweeted in July, which, according to reports, brings up the possibility of Jurassic Park characters being included in the upcoming Kombat Pack 2 for Mortal Kombat X.
Rumors also have it that one possible character might be Baraka, who is a non-playable character in that game. The next is The Joker which is said to be one of the favorites for the next DLC. Other guesses are Cyrax, Sektor, or Smoke.
But it is certain that Superman or Batman will not be in the roster. As reported by Realty Today, Ed Boon said in an interview with Polygon that he doesn't have any desire to cut Batman's head off or to kill Superman.
Mortal Kombat X developed by NetherRealm Studios is released by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. A mobile version of the game is also made available for both iOS and Android devices.
