MTV announced the return of the second half of "Teen Wolf" Season 5 to a room full of screaming fans at the New York Comic Con last weekend. The new season will premiere on January 5. It was also announced that the hit drama series will move to a new night, Tuesdays, and a new time slot at 9 pm EDT.
In the first half of "Teen Wolf" Season 5, true alpha werewolf Scott McCall (Tyler Posey) was hit with a lot of problems such as the arrival of new supernatural villains in Beacon Hills, losing his pack and even coming back from the dead. In Season 5b however, Scott is expected to recover from these setbacks and set things right with his pack.
TV Line reports that fans were treated with the first promo video for the second half episodes of "Teen Wolf" Season 5 at the 2015 NYCC. The explosive promo trailer is packed with exciting scenes that hinted at more twists and turns to come in the season.
Following the release of the promo trailer, cast members Tyler Posey, Dylan Sprayberry and Cody Christian took the stage alongside EP Jeff Davis reports Movie Web. JR Bourne made a surprise appearance that sent the fans into yet another screaming frenzy. His return to the series was earlier revealed in the trailer when the former werewolf hunter showed up with a gun after Scott told Malia that he called for some backup when they faced the Dread Doctors.
IB Times reports that the trailer also teased that former best friends Scott and Stiles having a brutal confrontation. Their friendship turned rocky when Theo entered the picture and turned them against each other.
"Teen Wolf" character Kira Yukimura (Arden Cho) will also be making a comeback. It will be recalled that Kira decided to leave Beacon Hills with her family in "Teen Wolf" Season 5 to search for answers and figure out what to do with her uncontrollable Kitsune powers.
Another great news for fans in the upcoming episodes is the possibility of Theo and his pack of chimeras wanting to join forces with Scott and his pack as they fight for their lives against another supernatural creature called "La Bete" or "The Beast".
