The Season 5 summer finale of "Teen Wolf" brought on several mysteries that will make fans eager for its return next year. Parrish's supernatural identity was revealed as well as Theo's real reason behind his return to Beacon Hills. Malia received bad news about the Desert Wolf. The last scene of the midseason finale was of the Dread Doctors breaking open a wall that revealed a painting of two creatures in battle.
EP Jeff Davis in a report from Yibada, promised fans that all their questions from watching the summer finale will be answered in the next half. He admitted of thinking that it would be the show's last so he made sure fans will not be left hanging. He went on to say that the next installment will have a monster movie treatment.
"Teen Wolf" 5B will see the return of the chimeras since being resurrected by Theo to be part of his pack. The chimeras were the results of a failed experiment of the Dread Doctors who turned out to be the new villains of the show. The same report says that the experiment changed them to dark teenaged supernatural creatures. Davis explained that they needed to be reminded of their humanity and what was life like before joining Theo's evil pack.
In another interview with Hollywood Reporter, Davis revealed that what they planned was a season of rebuilding and resurrection. "Our theme for season 5B is resurrection, so we're going to be bringing the band back together, as they say, and it's all going to be on Scott's shoulders. He's got to learn from his failures - it's up to him to give them hope again, as Melissa tells him." While Scott and Stiles try to rebuild their friendship, they will also attempt to fix their relationships with Kira and Malia respectively. He did not say if the couples will eventually get back together.
Fans who have been missing Kira will be happy to learn that she will be back in episode 12 paving the way for episode 13 which will be mostly dedicated to her reports IBTimes. Davis though warns that she might be different in her return from her time away. It is said that the episode will also deal with Kira's somewhat weird relationship with her mother Noshika.
As for the image that the Dread Doctors uncovered in the final scene of the summer's finale?
Davis said that it was a fresco (mural) that will lead to a creature the Dread Doctors created and what the said creature will face. He further mentioned that one of the creatures in the fresco is someone that the viewers have seen before and would recognize.
Jeff Davis has promised an epic and climactic "Teen Wolf" 5B. This we hope to see when the show returns on January 2016 on MTV.
