Since Bandai Namco is quiet on the fine points, fans are deliberating whether they will issue a statement as to the exact date of the release of the Tekken X Street Fighter which will be available for Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC in 2016. Will they still cancel the game despite the announcement of the game developer that the character lineup is complete?
It was recalled in an interview posted in Ubergizmo in July with game director Katsuhiro Harada, explaining why the game took so long to be released. Accordingly, Harada admits that other games such as Pokemon Tournament and Tekken 7 are the whys and wherefores of the wait.
But for the respite of the eagerly awaiting arcade fighting style fans, Harada established that Tekken X Street Fighter will be enjoyed by gamers next year, as reported. However, Harada said that they still have a lot of work to do.
"I've been saying this since before, but the fact of the matter is that we're at a pretty far stage into its development," he added about the possible "Tekken X Street Fighter" release date.
The arcade-style fighting game was developed in 2014. Harada even added that the game will feature new characters from both Street Fighter and Tekken. The game is a fusion of the said arcade games.
Franchise Herald reported that the character lineup has been decided by Bandai Namco and they even completed the polygon models, moves and systems.
"People have been talking about the game for such a long time that they aren't going to be surprised if you just release it normally. I don't know if that's what we have planned, but we do plan to have some kind of surprise," Harada said.
AS of now, gamers might have to wait patiently, Realty Today suggested and have faith in the words of Bandai Namco that Tekken X Street Fighter is still in development and not cancelled.
Despite the long wait, Tekken X Street Fighter admirers will be ready to try the playable characters from both Tekken and Street Fighter. Tekken X Street Fighter is available for PS 4, Xbox One and PC.
