Star Wars Battlefront open beta is extended for another day until today, October 13. Meanwhile, some Redditors have leaked new heroes who will be likely playable when the game is released next month.
As announced via Star Wars Battlefront official website, EA will be extending the Beta for one more day so as to give fans more time to enjoy the game and also allow their team to conduct further technical tests.
"...we have decided to extend the Beta and Companion experience for one more day to now end Tuesday, October 13th! Another day of Beta and Companion will not only give you more time to play, but also let us analyze a few more aspects of Star Wars Battlefront and perform further technical tests."
However, it doesn't mean that it will be all-fun-day for everyone because some players may experience connectivity issues since the test is intended to help the developer to "find some extreme scenarios." Euro Gamer quotes community manager Mathew Everett via the Battlefront blog saying,
"That means some players may experience occasional issues such as being kicked from the game or losing connectivity. This is all being done in the name of shoring up our infrastructure before we launch on November 17."
DICE has been encountering server issues throughout the weekend for all platforms, PC, PS4 and Xbox One, which are apparently expected during a beta test.
Furthermore, Redditors have data-mined the beta files of Star Wars Battlefront Han Solo, Princess Leia, and The Emperor. According to Game Rant, these heroes and villain characters are likely to be playable when the game is released in full and will likely be joining the previously announced Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, and Boba Fett.
A Reddit user who is called by his nickname TheeUberMedic has found another file pointing to a potential game mode called, Hero Battle. This new leak suggests that there is possibility of a mode exclusively focused on these heroes and villains. This could also mean that there might be more heroes to be added in the Star Wars Battlefront since there are only limited number of heroes and villain characters that are revealed for the game.
Star Wars Battlefront is the third main entry in the series set to launch on November 17. EA has announced that there will be a tie-in DLC for the game which is based on the movie, Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens, due for theatrical debut in December.
