Half Life 3 Leaks: DOTA 2 Reborn Patch details reveal possible development of game sequel

By

Half Life 3 has become an inexistent epidemic to each and every fan that ever played the first 2 games of the series. Gamers, up to this day, believe that a third title is already on its way, and with recently leaked photos-perhaps inadvertently, the patrons of the franchise may just have found exactly what they were looking for.

According to Trusted Reviews, despite the persistent efforts of fans to squeeze out any bit of information from Valve regarding the possibility or even the attempt of making a third installment to the Half Life series, the developers have stayed quiet and thwarted aside any pertinence to it. That is until recently, when a leaked photo showcases the possible coding of Half Life 3, found within the DOTA 2 Reborn patch.

The craze has caught fans on such an abrupt scenario wherein they know not whether the information revealed was a true indication that Half Life 3 is indeed, in the works. As reported by Techno Buffalo, the recent Dota 2 Reborn patch contained a file with the label hl3.txt, which held some files for ideas possibly meant for Half Life 3, such as procedural generation, NPC recruitment and squads, VR support and rather interestingly to the fans, zip lines.

Noted by iDigital Times, the file stated that there is an immense possibility of Half Life 3 being involved in an open world orientation. Games such as The Elder Scrolls and the Fallout franchise are only some of the more notable ones to compare in terms of open-world gaming, and without any confirmation as of the moment, there isn't much for fans to conclude at all.

Half Life 3 is yet to be a reality. But with such leaks which may be an unintentional flaw from the side Valve, fans believe that the game may drift away from being just an idea, and turn into fact soon enough. Keep posted for more Half Life 3 news in the future.
