According to the One Plus co-founder Carl Pei, the company is currently working on its second phone dubbed as OnePlus 3 that will come out before the end of 2015. It is said that the device will arrive as a mid-range handset.
According to the Verge, it appears that the Chinese smartphone maker OnePlus has a new gadget in the works. There were filings spotted with the Federal Communications Commission detail a new OnePlus model E1005 that is believed as the OnePlus 3.
The device was stated as a 5.5-inch handset which based on the preliminary photograph included in the documentation, the device is intensely looking a lot like an iPhone 4. It said to show a black handset with metal edging, a camera located on the back corner as well as a micro-USB port. Probably, it will run modified Android Oxygen OS same as with the other OnePlus phones.
The new OnePlus smartphone was also claimed to be either called as OnePlus 3 or an OnePlus Mini. The forthcoming new OnePlus model that will be released before the end of the year will come as a mid-range smartphone unlike its flagship predecessor OnePlus 2, Crossmap wrote.
The site added that that this new mid-range OnePlus mini (OnePlus 3) will allegedly come in 5-inch Full HD display with 1920 x 1080p resolution sheltered by the Gorilla Glass 3 while being powered by the 2.2 GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio X10 (MT6795T) SoC. It will also have a 2 GB RAM, 32 GB internal memory, and a huge 3000 (or 3100) mAh battery. The device was stated to sport a 13MP back shooter and a 4 MP selfie-camera.
As for more of its specifications, the upcoming OnePlus handset will include a USB Type-C connecter that will finally have the Quick Charge 2.0, FM radio, front speakers, as well as fingerprint sensors that will support the Android Pay.
Christian Today says that the images spotted in Mobile-dad and successively reported by Yahoo! Tech, show a handset that is smaller than its predecessor. Despite of it, there are other changes that have seemingly been applied to it. It also appears that the phone is covered in plastic.
It is confirmed that a new OnePlus phone is indeed in the works, although, an online report quickly denied that the handset will be identified as "OnePlus 3."
