Rise of the Tomb Raider News, Updates: Microtransactions for upcoming Xbox timed exclusive title discussed

By

Rise of the Tomb Raider is only a month away before its release. Apart from the details that have gone all around the web, a recent declaration regarding microtransactions was confirmed to have inhabited the system.

According to IGN, the microtransactions in Rise of the Tomb Raider, also known as Expedition Cards, are to be used for the modification of the gamers' experience, which will further provide the players an upper hand. Initially, there will be about 300 cards made available at launch, which will continuously have additions for the coming weeks after. One of the most noted advantages that the said Expedition Cards will offer include more innovative ways to customize challenges for fellow gamers.

Game Zone delivered that it will contain the Endurance Mode, Baba Yaga: The Temple of the Witch, Cold Darkness Awakened and the In-Game Contents chock-filled with great benefits. It was said that the In-Game Contents will have the Expedition Cards continuously coming for four months after.

As reported by Game Spot, Rise of the Tomb Raider hates to disappoint the fans for not having a conventional multiplayer mode. However, there will be an array of features that can make the single player quite more expansive, namely the Score Attack, the Remnant Resistance and the Chapter Replay. Despite the fact that multiplayer modes may be a trend in today's gaming titles, Rise of the Tomb Raider believes that the essence of the title may not keep its consistency if the said mode comes forth.

The Rise of the Tomb Raider downloadable content will be priced at $30. The Expedition Cards have two types, those being the Foil and Common. The Foil type enables Lara to make the most peculiar and innovative changes she wishes, and can be used repetitively as much as it is desired whereas the Common type is a more expendable type and must be reacquired or replenished once used.

Rise of the Tomb Raider is set for launch on November 10th, 2015 for the Xbox 360 and Xbox One. PlayStation4 and PC users will have to wait longer, however, as the release for the said platforms is aimed sometime within 2016.
