The "Assassin's Creed" movie adaptation was reportedly starting production. A glimpse of the first image from the filming set was revealed on a social media account.
The Assassin's Creed head of content, Azaïzia Aymar, posted a photo on his official Twitter account which implied that the movie adaptation of the popular game has started filming. With the uploaded image showing the logo of the Abstergo Industries in a black background, he revealed that the photo was taken from the set.
"Walking for the very first time inside of Abstergo was an amazing experience! Picture from set! #assassinscreedmovie", he shared.
Cinema Blend noted that Aymar also unveiled a few details about the film. According to him, Michael Fassbender will play two characters, his character in the present day and from the past. He will portray Callum in the modern day story and features Aguilar in his past character.
During an interview with a French magazine translated on Slash Film, the CEO of Ubisoft Motion Pictures Jean-Julien Baronnet talked about how they handled the approach of the "Assassin's Creed" movie adaptation. Although Tom Hardy has had other projects with Splinter Cell, Baronnet assured that fans will get to see him together with Michael Fassbender in a bigger setting. With these two great actors, the movie might as well be exciting.
The CEO admitted that the production filtered the well-deserving crew that will work on the movie. They did not only chose those who understand the gaming universe but also those who works intently with New Regency.
Under the direction of Justin Kurzel (Macbeth writer), Ubisoft's "Assassin's Creed' movie adaptation features Fassbender, Hardy, Marion Cotillard, Jeremy Irons, Brendan Gleeson, and Michael K. Williams. The production has started filming in Europe.
In the Assassin's Creed game, the Abstergo Industries logo symbolizes the authority and control of the Templars over the company. The "Assassin's Creed" movie adaptation is slated for a release on December 21, 2016.
