The Microsoft Dialer phone app for Android beta build will reportedly launch on November while the final version is set to come on December. Dialer for Windows 10 is also rumored to come soon.

As Microsoft prepares to launch its Dialer phone app, it will release a public beta of the app on November as per a report by Android Authority. The final version of Microsoft Dialer for Android could roll out on the second week of December.

It was reported that Gadget360 got a hold of the app's test build. The Microsoft Dialer for Android is made by the Skype team which suggests that the app will concentrate on communications. The Dialer is believed to offer more features aside from voice calls.

The Microsoft Dialer is expected to come with 2G and 3G support, allowing calls with slower networks. The app could also connect to the internet to provide relevant information about locations, public transportation, and people. It could also give caller information and block spam calls with a quick-action button. It is said to provide similar functions as the Truecaller app.

Additionally, the Microsoft Dialer for Android app will reportedly support video calls and video sharing. This rumor is yet to be confirmed though.

Winbeta reported that a Windows 10 version of Microsoft Dialer will also come probably next year. Currently, the Microsoft Dialer is only available on Android.

A Microsoft spokesperson said that the Microsoft Dialer for Android is being tested out in India according to a report by NDTV Gadgets:

"As part of the ongoing improvements to deliver the best experience possible to our users, we are always innovating and occasionally test out new features and functionality on small groups of users in different markets. If you live in India and have an Android phone and would like to get involved, sign up to our Pre-Release program via the Skype Community page. We have no specific news on product announcements planned in India to share today."

Nowadays, phone and messaging apps are becoming popular among younger consumers. The Microsoft Dialer for Android can be considered as Windows' take on the phone apps market.
