Kirsten Dunst shared a fun fact about her latest TV gig. The "Spider-Man" and" Bring it on" actress has revealed in a recent interview how she gained weight in preparation for her starring role on "Fargo" Season 2. The FX comedy-drama, which hails from Noah Hawley, kicked off its second season last week.
During her guest appearance on this week’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel on ABC, Dunst happily shared with the audience how she stuffed herself with satisfying carbs to officially embrace the character. “The usually slim actress revealed to Jimmy Kimmel on Monday, Oct. 12, that she pretty much just chilled and ate cheese and bread to pack on the pounds for her role as Midwestern beautician Peggy Blomquist,” US Weekly reports.
I just had different cheeses and breads together," Dunst further explained via The Huffington Post. "And now I'm like, 'Yeah, I gained weight for this role.' But really, I just sat in my bed and watched 'Friday Night Lights' and like, ate”.
According to People, the second season of "Fargo" is set in Sioux Fall, South Dakota, and Luverne, Minnesota during the 1970s era. Apart from Dunst, the show has also added Jesse Plemmons and Patrick Wilson among others on its 10-episode second season. The finale is slated to air sometime in December.
"Fargo" is the first limited series ordered by FX launched in the spring of 2014. Adapted from the award-winning movie of the same title, the TV version follows a true-crime story format while introducing a new case and new characters in each season. Its currently being ran by executive producers Warren Littlefield and Joel and Ethan Coen.
