Major Book Storyline and Character Returns are Coming to Game of Thrones Season 6

By

Season 6 of "Game of Thrones" will see the return of many characters and the inclusion of major storylines from the book source which the previous season enormously lacked. Many have been speculating about one or two or even more returning characters for the upcoming season, while a major storyline from "A Feast of Crows" has been recently confirmed.

Firstly, Brynden Tully aka "The Blackfish" is back. According to Watchers On the Wall, Catelyn's uncle, played by Clive Russel, has been considered alive and fans are very much excited about his return. He was last seen escaping out of the Red Wedding in Season 3.

Brynden Tully's return will have huge implications as reported by Huffingtonpost. Various sources indicate that The Blackfish will be defending Riverrun from a Lannister siege which will include Jaime Lannister and Bronn.

The siege storyline is a big part of George R.R. Martin's "A Feast for Crows" which was completely overlooked in the previous season. Instead, Jaime, went to a little adventure in Dorne to save Myrcella from the Martells with the help of Bronn.

This siege could also indicate the return of another character, which fans have been speculating about for a while now. It's no other than Lady Stoneheart, who is a zombified version of Catelyn Stark. According to the books, she has been causing a lot of trouble to Lannister loyalists (if loyalty does exist in Westeros, especially when it comes to the Lannisters).

Though, it is not yet clear if Lady Stoneheart will appear anytime soon. According to International Business Times, the "Game of Thrones" showrunners haven't confirmed if the storyline has been cut or they might just be waiting for the right time to introduce her in the show.

Even if Catelyn doesn't return in Season 6, at least two (or more of one and a half) of her children will. Bran Stark will be coming back after being gone for a year and Kit Harington, who plays Jon Snow has been spotted on set despite his death at the hands of his so-called "brothers" in the Season 5 finale.

More exciting things are coming. Watch out for "Game of Thrones" Season 6 on HBO this 2016.
