‘Mighty No. 9’ Delayed, Developer Releases Extra Rewards, Apparel in Mini Browser Game Prior Official Release

By

Japanese studio Concept has finally announced the release date of Mighty No. 9 which will be on February 2016. Despite last-minute delays, this Kick-starter funded game is now sure to hit the stores and through digital retail alike. As successor to Mega Man, Mighty No. 9 is out to make itself known to the gaming community through demos and apparels.

Mighty No. 9, being created by Mega Man illustrator Keiji Inafune, depicts many similarities with the all-time favorite Capcom hero. He is another robotic character who has the ability to absorb powers from downed enemies. Digital Trends says that its gameplay features a two dimensional plane with a number of traditional elements adding to the character's powers and abilities.

Despite its delay, fans could still get a chance to experience the action as the games production team tweeted September 26 that a playable demo has arrived on Humble Bundle. Engadget reposts the Mighty No. 9 official Tweeter page that it has two big announcements: the release date on February and its live demo on Humble Bundle. The game's official site announced that users must log in to Humble Bundle in order to try out the demo, using the same email address they use with Kickstarter/Paypal pledge.

As the excitement for both the demo and official release intensifies, Mighty No. 9 physical rewards have also started getting shipped through different regions. Among the rewards are exclusive Mighty No. 9 T-shirts and plushies. In addition, Geek Snack posted that there has been a Mighty No. 9 browser game that recently surfaced online. The game focuses Beck, whom the players control, as he tries to defeat enemies featured in the actual game. Rather a simple game, Beck fires automatically at enemies as he tries to avoid enemy attacks.

Despite last minute delays, fans are seemingly compensated by the mini-freebies which surfaced prior to the game's release. The game will be available in February 9 on North America followed by a February 12 worldwide release for Xbox One, PS 4, Wii U, Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. Game release for Nintendo 3DS and PS Vita shall be released at a later date.
