LG Electronics has released the LG G4 as its flagship smartphone of the year and the Korean tech giant is opt to release another one soon: the G5. This handset is believed to sport the Qualcomm's newest chipset, the Snapdragon 820, an iris scanner and a new 20-megapixel camera.
According to an article by Alphr, if the Korean tech giant will stick to its schedule just like the previous flagship smartphone release, the LG G5 is expected to be unveiled any time from late February to late May.
IBTimes cited some of the predicted features and specifications of the LG's newest flagship phone. This handset is believed to hit the market boasting the Qualcomm's Snapdragon 820 chipset onboard. It is also expected to feature an upgraded camera with 20-megapixel having a customized Sony sensor that is ½-inch wide. This means that Sony will be solely manufacture the camera sensor for the South Korean tech giant. The Sony IMX234 camera sensor that LG G5 might sport is most likely to shoot photos with good color reproduction. This technology has the capability of shooting topnotch photos in low-lighting conditions.
Moreover, Latinos Post added that the G5 may sport an iris scanner, a feature that is foretold to be rampant in smartphones soon. The newest flagship by LG might feature a 5.6-inch screen with 3840 by 2160 pixels resolution and True HD IPS that might be protected by Corning Gorilla Glass. The LG G5 is also speculated to have a Touch ID feature and be powered by a 4,000 mAh capacity battery.
As for its price, the device might be available in the shelves at $90, matching Samsung's most recent Galaxy S6.
With these speculations, it seems that LG Electronics is taking its newest flagship smartphone into the next level. Until the Korean company gives the official word, those who are interested with LG G5 will have to rely on these predicted specs.
