Hewlett-Packard (HP) is set to release its latest addition to its Chromebook lineup, the new Sky Blue 14-inch Chromebook, on November 8 in the United States. This offering from HP includes high-end features and specifications with equally low-end price range.
During a press release just recently, HP has announced the new Chromebook 14 with additional cosmetic and hardware enhancements. Aside from the company's 14-inch model with 1366 by 768 pixels resolution, it also offers the new Chromebook version with a full 1080 pixels HD display. Both are powered by Chrome operating system and include an Intel Celeron N2840 processor with 2GB of RAM as well as 16GB of internal memory.
The new Chromebook 14 features soft colors of the framework. The Sky Blue model is combined with soft blue accents and interior with a white cover. It will also be available in silver design, called the Turbo Silver. Google's usual offer of 100GB free Drive storage for two years is still carried out to this device. The package comes with free Google Play music for 90 days, three free Google Play movie rentals, and 12 free Gogo in-air Internet passes for United States domestic flights.
Furthermore, the battery life is expected to be improved with this new device. HP promises the users that the new Chromebook 14 can get 9 hours and 15 minutes of runtime. It will also include an HDMI connection, micro SD card reader, headphone jack, and two USB 2.0 ports. Also, it will support an HP Sleep and Charge port through a USB 3.0 port for charging devices on the road.
In terms of pricing, the HP Chromebook 14 is expected to cost starting at $249.99. On the other hand, the Full HD version starts at $279.99.
