Toshiba has introduced its most awaited 2-in-1 notebook, the dynaPad. The dynaPad 2-in-1 notebook runs on Windows 10 and is considered as the lightest and thinnest hybrid.
The Japanese tech giant has recently released its one-of-a-kind 2-in-1 notebook after a prototype has appeared at the IFA 2015 event last month. This 569g and 6.9mm thin dynaPad serves as a laptop or tablet to every user. Like the Surface Pro 4 of Microsoft, it comes with a detachable keyboard. Additionally, its display boasts anti-fingerprint and anti-reflection coating.
This 12-inch dynaPad 2-in-1 notebook is powered by Intel Atom x5-Z8300 processor and comes with a Wacom Active Electrostatic TruPen. This extra-special stylus is said to bring superior pressure sensitivity and accuracy for sketching, inking, and natural writing. It is capable of 2048 levels of pressure. Microsoft has confirmed that the interaction between the device's metal mesh sensor touch screen and stylus was made to imitate the feeling of writing on paper with a real pen.
Furthermore, it sports a 1.44GHz Atom processor, 4GB of memory, and 1920 by 1280 pixels resolution. The device is also compatible with Microsoft's Office and Edge besides Toshiba's own set of business applications, which include TruNote Share, TruNote, and TruCapture. This will make it easier for the users to share and create files. All applications are designed to acclimatize accordingly for right and left hand users.
The dynaPad is now available for preorders in Japan and is anticipated to ship in December with a cost of slightly higher than $1000. It is expected to be launched in the United States and Europe as well sometime in early 2016.
Despite the fact that Toshiba's dynaPad is less powerful than Microsoft's Surface Pro 4, it is still one of the most promising digital 2-in-1 notebooks to hit the market. With its lightweight and ultra-thin design, it makes it an impressive mobile device to watch out for.
