The official BlackBerry blog website reports that its first-ever Android device will bring BlackBerry mobile security, productivity, and privacy to the Android world. David Kleidermacher, a mobile security and Internet of Things expert, has cited a research study from Cambridge University, which states that nine out of 10 Android handsets are exposed to security liabilities. David Kleidermacher was hired by BlackBerry to fix the Android security bugs found in BlackBerry Priv.

According to John Chen, the Chief Executive Office of BlackBerry, "David's knowledge of securing the Internet of Things and embedded systems will be invaluable as we execute on our strategy and continue to expand our management of the world's mobile endpoints." Thus, his contribution has a great impact to the Android device.

Furthermore, the Priv is said to offer a "no-compromise" user experience to both privacy-minded enterprises and consumers. It has a complete access to Google Play Store and Google Mobile Services. Additionally, it includes touch-enabled keyboard, the latest hardware specifications, and a slide-out feature.

Due to the security fixes performed to the BlackBerry Priv, it is now more secured than ever. Everything was already patched up, including BBM Meetings private conferences, WatchDox private file sharing, SecuSUITE private voice calls, and the company's patented picture-login. In addition, the handset has BlackBerry Certicom's certified cryptography.

Meanwhile, the Priv will sport a 5.4-inch QHD display and Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor with 3GB of RAM. It also features a curved screen and will be released soon. Some speculations claim that it will be launched on November 6th, but the company has no confirmation about it yet.

Nonetheless, BlackBerry's latest innovation is absolutely promising as it already patched all Android issues. All BlackBerry users and spectators can no longer wait for its official release and to get a hold of the device. Thus. the BlackBerry Priv will most likely be arriving any time soon.
