'The Chronicles of Naria: The Silver Chair' writer David Magee finally completed the final draft for the screenplay. The fourth installment of the cinematic adaptations of C.S. Lewis' beloved children's books will be produced by Mark Gordon, Douglas Gresham, and Vincent Sieber. The first book in the series 'The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe' has been turned into a musical by writer Irita Kutchmy.

According to Den of Geek, screenwriter David Magee has turned in the final draft for the upcoming fantasy-adventure film. Producer Douglas Gresham announced that he was "very pleased" with the last draft that was passed along and that they had to do a few changes. He added, "we're still in the process of getting the screenplay right. And it's often a long process and a slow process sometimes. But we're getting pretty close".

Another article by We Got This Covered, Magee revealed that he did indeed finish up on the final draft of the screenplay. It was announced via his private Twitter account. The tweet read, "Completed the final draft of The Silver Chair today. I've had the immense pleasure to work on the project for over a year now. So fulfilling."

The American screenwriter has won several accolades for his previous work several fantasy films. He was nominated an Academy Award and a Golden Globe for the film 'Finding Neverland' starring Johnny Depp and Kate Winslet. He was also nominated for an Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay for 'Life of Pi' directed by acclaimed filmmaker Ang Lee.

The upcoming film is based on C.S. Lewis' of the same name, first published in 1953. It is the fourth in seven books set in the magical world of Narnia. Its story picks up decades after the events of 'The Voyage of the Dawn Treader'.

An old King Caspian summons the great lion Aslan to find his stolen son, Prince Rilian, the only heir to the throne. Aslan then sends two children, Eustace Scrubb and his boarding school classmate Jill Pole, from England back to Narnia to help find the missing prince. It is not known whether any of the original children in the live-action series - Lucy, Edmund, Peter and Susan - will make appearances.

Meanwhile, writer Irita Kutchmy has adapted the first book 'The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe' into a musical. It's never been performed in the United States or Canada due to licensure issues.

Irita stated on Narnia Fans, "We called the show 'The Magic Land Beyond the Wardrobe Door' as we had been in touch with the publishers of the book and were told that we couldn't call it 'The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe,' due to copyright reasons."

'The Chronicles of Narnia: The Silver Chair' is an upcoming fantasy-adventure film based on the fourth C.S. book of the same name. It is also the fourth installment in the popular 'Narnia' cinematic series. Its predecessor, 'The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader', was released in 2010 and earned $415 million against a $155 million budget.
