The newest smartphone by HTC that seems to mimic the Apple's iPhone 6s' design was unveiled by the Taiwanese tech giant recently. With its similarities and closeness in design and specs, HTC One A9 and iPhone 6s make a great race in the high-end smartphone arena.
According to an article by Christian Post, the HTC One A9 reviews are saying that the new smartphone is just like an Android-powered iPhone 6, but cheaper as it is tagged at only $250. Aside from its price, the One A9 is boasting its unibody aluminum body with Gorilla Glass protection which is slim, light, and is made to look smooth with its high-quality material -competing with the Apple device's appearance.
On the other hand, Times of India said on its article that the iPhone 6s can boast about its unique software features 3D Touch & Live Photos. Both of these features are limited to the newest flagship smartphones of Apple.
Pocket-lint has made a very keen comparison between the HTC One A9 and iPhone 6s. As for the handsets build, The HTC One A9 measures 145.8 x 70.8 x 7.3mm, which makes it considerably bigger and slightly thicker than the Apple iPhone 6S that measures 138.3 x 67.1 x 7.1mm. However, both of them have the same weight of 143g.
As for the device's displays, the One A9 features a 5-inch display with 1920 x 1080 resolution that delivers a pixel density of 440ppi. iPhone 6s on the other hand, comes with a slightly smaller 4.7-inch display and a lower at 1334 x 750 with a pixel density of 326ppi.
The HTC One A9 sports a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera having an aperture of F/2.0, built-in optical image stabilization and a dual-tone flash. Its front-facing camera is a 4-megapixel UltraPixel snapper. The One A9 competitor however, is armed with a 12-megapixel rear camera with a smaller aperture of F/2.2 and a True Tone flash. Notably, the device doesn't have a built-in OIS.
There is an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor with 2 GB or 3 GB variety of RAM under the chassis of the One A9 while the iPhone 6s is engineered with company's latest A9 processor along with the M9 motion coprocessor.
Furthermore, the One A9 comes in 16GB and 32GB models, but it features microSD support for storage expansion up to 200GB. In contrary, the iPhone 6s doesn't offer microSD expansion, but its internal storage options include 16GB, 64GB and 128GB.
In terms of battery, the HTC's flagship is powered by 2150 mAh capacity battery, which is claimed to offer up to 16 hours of 3G talk time. Apple didn't provide details on its capacities, but the iPhone 6S reportedly gives users up to 14 hours of 3G talk time.
Based on the above mentioned specs and features, HTC One A9 and iPhone 6s indeed gives each other a competitive battle. However, it's still up to the user to choose which one appears to be better based onhis or her wants and needs.
