One of Japan's most beloved role-playing game series "Dragon Quest Heroes" has received some special touches from Omega Force. The game development team has reportedly enhanced the game's core experience. However, despite the efforts to take the game to another level, it only debuted at the 18th spot in UK Sales Chart.
According to VentureBeat, the latest franchise to acquire some out-of-this-world ideas from Koei-Tecmo's Omega Force is "Dragon Quest Heroes." Although the traditional turn-based combat game is quite a challenge, the Japan-based development team was reportedly able to pull the game off on PlayStation 4. There were some nice additions, most of which reportedly enhanced the core experience of gamers.
Reports say that characters now have access to a set of special skills, including spells and techniques. In addition, the horde of monsters to fight reportedly has unique characteristics that require a change in strategy whenever a player faces them. Moreover, defeated enemies are said to drop medals that can be used to summon computer-controlled monsters to aid in attacking and defending key areas.
Slant Magazine, on the other hand, reported that "Dragon Quest Heroes" is indeed far beyond the usual role-playing games. Not only will gamers love its gameplay, but reportedly as well as its soundtrack - thanks to series composer Koichi Sugiyama. The game is believed to exude an infectious positive vibe, one that makes the whole experience thrilling and suspense.
Unfortunately, as for the success of "Dragon Quest Heroes," PlayStationLifeStyle reported that the game only debuted in the 18th spot of UK Sales Chart. It was reportedly a disappointing week for most of the PlayStation 4 role-playing games as "Disgaea 5: Alliance of Vengeance", too, only earned the 27th spot. The highest-charting game among the new releases was believed to be "Tales of Zestiria," which placed in 8th. "FIFA 16" topped the chart for a four straight week, while "Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection," "Destiny: The Taken King," and "LEGO Dimensions" remained in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th, respectively.
Nevertheless, the final take is still up for the fans, as they can only prove if "Dragon Quest Heroes" indeed delivers an enhanced core experience. And, if not, well, its spot in the UK Sales Chart might already be unquestionable.
