According to Licensing.biz, David Evans, European licensing manager at SCEE, has faith on "Horizon Zero Down's" licensing capabilities. Evans reportedly mentioned about the game having all the factors needed to be a hit brand in 2016. The impressive feel of the game, remarkable visuals, great character development, imaginative combat scenarios, and the marketing gauge of the PlayStation 4 release are the key to making "Horizon Zero Down" "a hot property for 2016."
Reports even suggest that due to the game's lush post-apocalyptic world, players won't simply want to leave. This could reportedly result to licensed merchandise being offered to consumers as a way to extend the out-of-this-world experience.
Meanwhile, Gamespot reported that Sony Computer Entertainment Europe is looking to extend "Horizon Zero Down" to new product categories apart from gaming. The company reportedly intends to include toys, apparel, collectibles, stationary, and a whole lot more. SCEE reportedly desires to unravel the consumer products come quarter four of 2016.
Reports have it that the ambitious-sounding game will feature a full day/night cycle, while players will be able to explore the depths of the forests, mountains, and the atmospheric ruins of an ancient civilization.
As reported by MyGaming, "Horizon Zero Down" has since been described as an action role-playing game that revolves around a young lass named Aloy. The game shall reportedly see the character taking down massive cybernetic dinosaurs, among other robotic creatures that roam the beautiful wilderness. Many speculate that the RPG elements of the game have been reportedly compared to that of "Skyrim" and "Assassin's Creed."
