iPhone 7 Rumors: What Features can We Expect and What are Not Likely to Happen?

By

While iPhone 6s continues to roll out, many Apple fans prefer to pay attention to news on the company's next smartphone release, the iPhone 7. With a little less than a year still left in waiting, people continue to talk about the next release for 2016.

iPhone 6s sales are not anywhere near what it should be according to The Motley Fool. Pacific Crest expects Apple to sell 67 million iPhones by December, lower than the 74.4 million from last year.

As KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo forecasts that the iPhone 6S would fail to exceed the performance of the previous generation of the handset, Apple's next release in 2016 will be crucial to revitalising what remains to be the most important product line in the company.

Value Walk quotes the analysis of Gene Munster, and says that the most dominant specs news on iPhone 7 is still the disappearance of the home button and the emergence of 3D touch features, which may become a burden to the Touch ID features that the current iOS runs with.

Munster also looks at the display, materials, and the all-important battery life as Forbes would add. Yahoo News also adds of the talks of an edge-to-edge curved display. It has also been disputed that iPhone will be placing a camera and Phone speaker that sticks out of the display.

Apple users may also well expect Apple to make a 4.7-inch phone (called the iPhone 7), and a 5.5-inch model (the iPhone 7 Plus). Additional talks are banking on iPhone going back to the 4-inch handset size which analysts are dubbing as the iPhone 7 mini.

16GB will surely be phased out as the lowest storage offering as the iPhone's memory requirements keep growing and growing and 16GB no longer seems adequate to run the apps that one will expect to have in the iPhone 7.
