Good news for Android users as the Apple Music may finally arrive on their platform. Leaked images of the Android app's design has been spotted by German tech website MobileGeeks.
The screenshots show a little bit of Apple's own minimalistic design, but it also shows the Android 5.0 Lollipop and 6.0 Marshmallow design cues. For instance, it has the popular Hamburger menu in the upper right corner of the app's user interface.
Users can also search for the title or the artist of a song on the search bar on top, just like in Spotify. It also integrates the Beats One streaming Internet radio, according to MacWorld. It seems that Apple is not forcing its own design for the Android version.
Apple Music has been recently launched for their own iOS platform. The Cupertino-based tech giant did promise that an Android version is not far-off.
Many are expecting that the Android app will be arriving this fall, with the guesstimates for next month at the earliest. Apple still has no updates on the matter.
The screenshots seem to be legit. They are clear and does not show any reason to be doubted, according to 9 to 5 Mac. Even the "For Me" page looks very identical to the iOS version of the app.
There are already music streaming apps available on Android such as Spotify and Pandora. Apple Music has entered the music streaming sector, believing that it will change the industry. So far, there isn't any effect.
Other streaming music apps don't charge the user for even a cent. They use ads to support themselves. Apple Music is available at $9.99 per month, according to GSM Arena.
With a pretty expensive price, some users may opt to choose another app. However, Apple CEO Tim Cook said that there are already 15 million users subscribed to their service.
Apple Music is expected to arrive on the Android platform in a couple of weeks. Will it be able to garner more subscribers from the community?
