‘Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5’ PS3, Xbox 360 Launch Delayed; Dev to Fix Issues Encountered in Xbox One, PS4 Release

Activision's skate boarding video game, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5 is scheduled for release on November 10. However, the developers have delayed its release for PS3 and Xbox 360 to address some concerns and treat some issues regarding the gameplay.

The developers have pushed back the delay as they want to focus on fixing the issues in the earlier PS4 and Xbox One releases of the game. As reported, the game has been suffering from a number of performance issues, connection troubles, and other glitches. With such, the game in its earlier console releases garnered poor reviews, Latin Post added. Activision has been working with Robomodo and Disruptive Games to solve such problems.

Unfortunately, the game has already received negative reviews from different sites. Game Rant gave the game the review score of 1 out of 5. According to Brad Jones, the developers' attempt to revive the skateboarding video game "is not a success". Meanwhile, fans of the previous Pro Skater game versions see the last installment as a "slap in the face".

The site also pinpoints the worst thing to find in the game: that is appearing to be an overhauled version of the classic School II stage. Jones added that there were lots of similarities with the original but the additions just made it worse. Furthermore, he commented that the loading times and awkward methods of access had made the game bad enough and that the missions seem to be bereft of entertainment.

On the other hand, Game Spot had given the game the score of 3/10. According to the site, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5 lacks the 'seamless' online multiplayer feature which was included in the new generation of editions. Nevertheless, Activision acknowledges these feedbacks and hoped to fix them as soon as possible.

With the November 10 release date of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5 being suspended, Activision works with Robomodo and Disruptive Games to resolve the issues and complaints raised by PS4 and Xbox One players. The developers are then hopeful to fix the issues for a better PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game.
