In "Outlander" Season 2, Claire and Jamie travelled to Paris in order to continue the fight against the Jacobites, who want to bring back King James VII to the British throne. Production is still going on and a premiere date has yet to be announced. The second season is based on Diana Gabaldon's second book in the Outlander series titled "Dragonfly in Amber" and will reportedly run for at least 13 episodes.

According to Cartermatt, "Outlander" Season 2 follows where Season 1 left off. Claire revealed to Jamie that she is pregnant with his child. Recently, model and dancer Maeve Foley has been rumored to have been casted to play their daughter Brianna. However, EP Maril Davis has put the rumors to rest even as he admitted that Foley was indeed added to the cast but to play a still undetermined role.

The widespread online rumor that Foley was the one signed on to play Brianna stemmed from her physical similarities to the character in the source material which described her as tall, red-haired with blue eyes and in her early 20's. Another actress that is said to be in the running for the role is "Game of Thrones" star Sophie Turner.

Same report says that Davis in a recent Twitter Q&A further revealed that the show was three episodes away from completing the 13 episode production. He also hinted that Gabaldon is the writer for Episode 11 of "Outlander" Season 2.

Sam Heughan (Jamie) couldn't contain his excitement over the said episode in a tweet, "Just reading @Writer_DG TV episode of @Outlander_Starz. It's V Good!!!!!" The Scottish actor also said that he was looking forward to seeing the author when they start filming Episode 11 reports Realty Today.

Caitriona Balfe (Claire) on the other hand, revealed that for her, Episode 7 of the coming season should be the one fans will have to look forward to because it was the most emotional episode she has filmed so far.

Meanwhile, a Christian Post report also reveals that production for the rest of the season will remain in Scotland and filming is going to continue for "Outlander" Season 2 until the New Year.

No definite premiere date has been set for "Outlander" Season 2. However, showrunner Ronald Moore told fans to expect the air date around March or April next year.
