"American Crime Story," Ryan Murphys's new true crime anthology series on FX premieres this February 2016. The first season of the mini-series is subtitled, 'The People v. O.J. Simpson' which will revolve around the murder trial of NFL star, O.J. Simpson.

According to The Wrap, the miniseries is based on the book, "The Run of His Life: The People v. O.J. Simpson" by Jeffrey Toobin. The TV adaptation will look at the O.J. Simpson case through the lens of the lawyers and how a jury found Simpson without fault. It will explore on the chaos that unfolds within secret dealings and brash maneuvering on both sides of the court. It will also give what the jury needs--reasonable doubt--a combination of overconfidence in prosecution, shrewdness in defense, and the LAPD's history with the African-American community in the city.

Executive Producer and Director, Ryan Murphy adds in an interview with HollywoodLife, "Our goal is to show you the behind-the-scenes mechanizations of crimes, stuff that you didn't know... When I read the scripts, I didn't know half the stuff [that occurred]. I'm like, 'That happened? That happened?' I think people will find them so illuminating. I did,"

Dale Godboldo will play Carl E. Douglas in "American Crime Story." Douglas is a defense attorney for O.J. Simpson who was charged with the murder of his wife, Nicole Brown and her friend, Ron Goldman. Douglas was also one of the top lawyers of Johnnie Cochran's law firm.

The miniseries features an A-list cast which includes John Travolta who will play Robert Shapiro, Courtney B. Vance as Johnnie Cochran, David Schwimmer as Robert Kardashian, Sarah Paulson as Marcia Clark, Angel Parker as Shawn Chapman, and Cuba Gooding Jr. as O.J. Simpson.

"American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson" will recall the so-called 'Trial of the Century.' Catch its premiere this February 2016 on FX.
