'Five Nights at Freddy's' is a planned big-screen adaptation of Scott Cawthon's popular point-and-click survival game featuring malicious animatronics. Director Gil Kenan may have teased Springtrap as a potential villain for his upcoming film on his Twitter account. Fan-made films continue to offer some entertainment for waiting audiences.

Gil Kenan is known for promoting his projects on his personal social media accounts, specifically, Twitter. An article by Design & Trend noted that one of his recent tweets showed images of what could possibly be the main antagonists for his 'Five Nights at Freddy's' adaptation. One of the photographs showed an animatronic hand that looked to be forming the letter "C".

Fans were quick to speculate that the "C" stood for Chica, one of the main antagonists featured in the games. Another image showed a mold shaped as a human and became another subject for speculation. The human mold was reportedly a tease for Springtrap, the main antagonist and only true animatronic on 'Five Nights at Freddy's 3'.

In the games, Springtrap was originally an early model of a Bonnie suit ,hence, the similarities between the two characters. His entire yellow and green body is torn and tattered appearing more hideous than his earlier counterparts in Cawthon's first two games. It is said that Springtrap houses the remains of mummified humans as seen in various rare boot images.

An article from VG247 reported that Kenan had been tweeting images of the animatronics as well as answering questions from curious fans directly through his account. Although he made no mention of specific villains, he continued to offer glimpses into the world of animatronics.

Meanwhile, over eager fans couldn't help but create tribute videos for Cawthon's horror series. According to Cinema Blend, one such film featured Springtrap and was a collaboration between Typhoon Cinema and Deviant Picture Films. It was regarded as one of the best fan-made short films for FNAF and liberally praised for its masterful execution.

'Five Nights At Freddy's' is a planned horror film by Warner Bros. Pictures based on the popular indie horror game of the same name. The film, to be directed by Gil Kenan, has yet to have an official release date and is currently in development, according to IMDB.
