That is why it ws a big surprise for many fans when it was announced that Disney had acquired the rights to the franchise. Star Wars brand became hotter than ever now with Star Wars: The Force Awakens which is about to come in a few months.
Disney Infinity, unlike other toys-to-life games, is like two games in one. The Disney Infinity 3.0 Starter Pack includes Twilight of the Republic playset that is based on The Clone Wars CG series which already ended in 2014.
Along with the set also comes two Disney Infinity figures, Anakin and Ahsoka. This is the same case for other 3.0 figures that came at launch. The range of characters include Yoda, Ezra Bridger, and non-Star Wars characters like Mulan and Olaf.
Disney has recently announced some new characters during the Disney Infinity 3.0: Play Without Limits release, said Game Reactor. This is no small announcement because it was made known that the playable characters in The Force Awakens playset will include Rey, Finn, Poe Dameron, and Kylo Ren. With the coming of the film, these is believed to be the most well-known toys released so far.
In another report from Neo Seeker, Disney Infinity 3.0 is said to be backward compatible to work with every figurines and Power Discs even from the game's 1.0 and 2.0 versions.
Many Star Wars fans were glad about Disney's decision to be part of the franchise. They believe that Disney Infinity 3.0 will bring the series to a new heights via Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
