A new opening sequence, a new storyline and a new big bad tormenting the ladies will await viewers when the second half of "Pretty Little Liars" Season 6 returns in January. Aria, Spencer, Hanna and Emily have not seen the worst with their former nemesis A/Charlotte. A new bad is coming after them and he is said to be much worse than A. While the Liars will certainly face new challenges after six seasons of dealing with A, some of them will also be facing problems in the love department.
Actress Ashley Benson (Hanna) in an interview described the new big bad as a whole new animal with a much deadly motive against the Liars. Melty reports that the new mysterious villain will make Charlotte's antics of locking people in freezers and burning buildings look like a joke. Now that the ladies will be more mature with the five-year time jump, the ante will also be raised in terms of the new villain's wickedness.
Sasha Pieterse who plays Allison revealed, "Charlotte was much more about playing the game. That's what kept her going. That's what fed her damaged soul. But this is a whole new animal. This new villain has a whole new motive - and it's really deadly. It's like: 'Do this, or I kill you.' Charlotte and her games look like child's play in comparison."
A recently released trailer of the second half "Pretty Little Liars" Season 6 showed Hanna kissing someone other than Caleb and showing off an engagement ring reports iDigital Times. This is certainly bad news for 'Haleb' fans who have been shipping Hanna and Caleb since they first got together.During the mid-season finale, Caleb told Hanna he got a new swanky job in New York, but in the promo, he appears to also be back in Rosewood.
Benson also addressed her now infamous baby fake-out scene in the mid-season premiere to TV Line . Hanna appears in the episode to be a mother to a toddler until it's revealed that she is merely watching the child for a fellow passenger on her flight.
"I was so excited when I first read that scene," Benson says. "When I read on and realized it wasn't hers, I was like, 'No!'". She added that Hanna having a baby will be a cool change of pace.
