'Game of Thrones' Season 6: Theon Greyjoy to lead Ironborn army in epic battle against Boltons?

By

With rumors of Jon Snow and Sansa possibly meeting again in "Game of Thrones" Season 6, another fellow will also be joining the reunion. Fans last saw Theon Greyjoy, baptized "Reek" by Ramsey Bolton, jumping from the wall of Winterfell with Sansa in Season 5. If the Stark siblings will be meeting again, then Theon will most probably be joining the party as well. And recent speculations suggest that he will be bringing an Ironborn army with him to help Jon Snow fight the Boltons in the climactic "Battle of the Bastards."

"Game of Thrones" news source, WinterIsComing, has reported that a "Game of Thrones" tourist saw the crew at the same location where Renly's camp was filmed. Taking a closer look, the fan saw Alfie Allen, who plays Theon Greyjoy, on the set leading an Ironborn army. This would mean that the Greyjoys will have a bigger role to play in the Season 6 "Game" with Theon's sister, Yara, engaging in a more central role.

Gemma Whellan who plays Yara Greyjoy, had confirmed in an interview that she will be returning to the franchise in Season 6. She also mentioned that the next season will deviate "more than ever" from the books, which is truly the case because the books ended with Jon Snow's death.

Could the tables now turn for the Starks and will Theon be redeeming himself in Season 6? The Starks might have a good chance, but for Theon, WinterIsComing, adds that the rumour should be taken lightly. As recalled, Theon is a man who once betrayed the Starks and had lost his manhood. He was forced to take on mortifying squire duties for the man who had done him the latter, who also had him sleep in the kennels with the dogs. He was so close to losing it until Sansa returned to Winterfell to wed the evil bastard, Ramsey. His physical, mental, emotional, and any inhumanely possible suffering did not stop there as Ramsey had him watch Sansa get raped.

But perhaps, people like that could be redeemed in the world of "Game of Thrones." After all, he already started by helping Sansa escape. Though, the question is, could there really be any kind of real "redemption" in Westeros?

Meanwhile, Bollywood star Neil Nitin Mukesh, who has appeared in many Hindi-language films, will be starring in Season 6 as a royal. Stunt director, Greg Powell was impressed with his action scenes in the drama, "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo (PRDP)." Will he be another champion like Oberyn? Just hope he won't get his head smashed in combat.

Stay tuned as "Game of Thrones" returns this 2016 on HBO.
