'Better Call Saul' Season 2 will have appearances from other 'Breaking Bad' cast

By

There were rumours circulating that "Breaking Bad" stars Bryan Cranston, who played Walter White and Aaron Paul, who played Jesse Pinkman, will make an appearance in the next season of the hit TV show's spinoff series, "Better Call Saul." There will be appearances of characters from the mother series, but it is not yet confirmed which character or characters will be officially coming in.

Of course, "Better Call Saul" is a prequel to "Breaking Bad" about the humble beginnings and transformation of the much-loved quirky criminal lawyer, Saul Goodman, played by Bob Odenkirk. MasterHerald says that the rumours regarding the dynamic duo's appearance are merely wishful thinking of fans of both the mother series and the spinoff. Such crossovers will seem inappropriate and would come off as rather absurd. "Better Call Saul" will have to stand on its own feet or live up to its own merits because having those two iconic characters coming in the second season would only put the spinoff series under the microscope.

Though, both Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul are willing to reprise their roles as Walter White and Jesse Pinkman. Who wouldn't want that? Christian Today also reports a CBS interview with Paul saying that he's had "serious talks" with "Breaking Bad"/"Better Call Saul" creator and showrunner, Vince Gilligan, about returning to his character. "Anything Vince is involved with, I'm there," he says. "I owe him my entire career. And the idea of jumping into the skin of Jesse Pinkman again in his lighter years because it's all a prequel-it would be fun."

On the other hand, it is very much possible that the supporting characters in "Breaking Bad" will make an appearance in "Better Call Saul" Season 2.

Most likely, it will be Gustavo Fring, the utterly deceiving drug kingpin, played by Giancarlo Esposito. Since he runs a major drug empire even before Heisenberg's infamous blue meth trademark, his role in the spinoff will make much more sense. It would show viewers how Gustavo became one of the biggest names in the drug trade.

It is also possible that Francesca, played by Tina Parker, will also appear in Season 2 especially when Jimmy McGill transforms into Saul Goodman. She was Honey Tits and Saul's secretary in the mother series, who was also a talented negotiator, apart from being Saul's vitamin keeper.

Meanwhile, Christian Today reports that filming for "Better Call Saul Season 2 is underway in Albuquerque, New Mexico. It is also said in a report that the spinoff shot a large scale scene in the area which involves a plane-a B-29 bomber to be exact.

Jimmy McGill's big transformation into Saul Goodman will reportedly be revealed in Season 2, perhaps in the premiere episode too. According to MoviePilot, the Season 1 finale of the spinoff pointed towards a big "Saul" moment happening in Season 2.

"Better Call Saul" returns in AMC on 2016, and everyone knows for sure that it's gonna be "all good, man."
