'Live By Night' movie news has been coming in as Ben Affleck recently started the shooting the crime-drama film in the middle of the hot Brunswick. Soon to be spotted filming with Affleck is Grammy-winning R&B singer Miguel.
According to The Florida Times Union the south end of Brunswick's business district has been transformed to look like 1920's Ybor City, Florida. The high South Florida temperatures were record high over the area as Affleck's 'Live By Night' started filming. Singer Miguel will play Esteban, the brother of Zoe Saldana's character, Graciella Suarez, a woman Joe Coughlin (Affleck) meets as he becomes involved in organized crime in Tampa.
Miguel will join the cast and crew in walking along dirt-covered Newcastle Street, as there are scenes being shot in the mid-afternoon. Many onlookers are looking forward to Tuesday night's filming as rumors say there are plans to blow out the front of a set. Big crowds have gathered behind barricades Monday and Tuesday to catch sight of Affleck, who happily acknowledged and waved at fans who came to see the 'Live By Night' production.
Deadline Hollywood reported that 'Live By Night' was temporarily put aside by its writer-director-lead actor Affleck to play Bruce Wayne in Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice. It is unknown if the bow-iut of the 7 October 2016 release to an undated 2017 one is a result of Affleck's postponement. The 43-year old actor is also producing, alongside Jennifer Davisson, Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Todd.
Affleck has also reportedly let go of his buff Batman physique. It is unknown whether this is for the role in 'Live By Night', but the actor was seen with now a 'dad bod', a clean-shaven look, and a fuller face. According to Daily Mail, the 'Live By Night' actor-director seemed to have stopped his body conditioning when reports of alleged infidelity came out, followed by the collapse of his marriage to Jennifer Garner, the day after their 10th anniversary.
The 'Live By Night' movie is based on the book by Dennis Lehane. It is based follows Joe Coughlin, youngest son of a Boston police captain, after he turns his back on his upbringing to get into the world of crime. It also uses some of the characters from Lehane's sprawling period novel 'The Given Day' and brings them into Prohibition. Ben Affleck is currently still filming the Prohibition-era crime drama, in Brunswick, Georgia together with the rest of the cast and crew.
