A lot of details about the movie have been under close wraps until recently when Eddie Redmayne, who plays the lead role Newt Scamander, revealed several plot details. His adventures will allow fans to see 7 beasts and the confirmation of a trilogy means more should be expected.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Redmayne revealed that contrary to what fans were expecting, Newt Scamander will not be alone in his adventures. Just like Harry who has Ron and Hermione at his side, Newt is going to be working together with Jacob (Dan Fogler), Tina (Katherine Waterston), and Queenie (Alison Sudol).
Furthermore, Redmayne stated that there will be American counterparts to various elements in the Potterverse. Like the magical community in the US is under the Congress of Magic of the United States of America. Muggles are not called muggles but rather No-Maj. Finally, the wizarding community of the U.S. is under threat the New Salem Philanthropic society which originated from the group responsible for the Salem witch trials.
It has been confirmed in the same interview that there will be sequels to the movie. Rowling apparently has already mapped out the next two films. According to the Examiner, the other two sequels will be coming out on 2018 and 2020. This means more beasts and adventures to come.
Another bit of info fans should be excited about is the list of beasts and magical creatures that will be in the movie. After all, it is a movie about a wizard studying beasts and magical creatures for a living. According to Movie News Guide, fans can expect merpeople, bowtruckles, augurey, ashwinder, crup, lethifold and niffler.
Until the next "Harry Potter" movie has been confirmed, fans can look forward to the "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" trilogy. The movie is scheduled to hit the cinemas on November 18, 2016.
