'Doctor Who' Season 9 Episode 8 Preview, Spoilers: Let Zygons be Zy-'gones'

By

In the next episode of "Doctor Who" Season 9, titled "Zygon Inversion," it's hard to know who to trust. As revealed in the previous episode, "Zygon Invasion," the Zygons have taken the form of humans and made it impossible to know who the real humans are. Even Clara (Jenna Coleman) was discovered to be a Zygon clone and the Doctor (Peter Capaldi) will have to think of a way of finding out who is who.

In episode 8, it is said that Clara's Zygon clone will be causing much trouble. IBTimes also reports that this will be one of the most difficult challenges yet for the Doctor. In addition, Zygons are defined as shape-shifting aliens that are infiltrating the society and causing havoc to humans.

"Zygon Inversion" will challenge the Doctor in big ways as consequences can be deadly and may lead to a war. With the Zygons taking human from and with UNIT neutralised, it is up to the Doctor to find a solution for this terribly frustrating conflict.

In the promo video, Osgood (Ingrid Oliver) introduces the Osgood Box which is anything but good. The box seems to be a very dangerous and deadly weapon. She says, "The Osgood Box can wipe out humankind... the Osgood Box could start the war." Then it can be seen that someone who seems to be a Zygon clone Clara, has gotten hold of the box. The doctor furiously says "You have no idea who's going to die!" and Zygon Clara forebodingly responds, "I don't care."

Looks like Zygon Clara is off to no good and seems really creepy in the second part of the Zygon story arc. The Doctor will have to figure something out of this Zygon mess, and fast. "But how do you stop a war?" as the synopsis challenges. Looks like the Doctor will need a miracle, or "Zygon Inversion" might just end in chaos with the possibility of deadly results.

Catch "Doctor Who" Season 9 Episode 8, "Zygon Inversion," this Saturday, 9pm on BBC America.
