Apple Inc. is rumored to release the iPhone 7 Mini that sports a 4-inch display. This handset is expected to arrive in the market first quarter of 2016 while its bigger versions, iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, will follow later of the same year. Some of the specs and features of the upcoming handset were predicted.
According to Design & Trend, a KGI analyst named Ming-Chi Kuo stated that by early next year, Apple will launch an iPhone mini. This handset will sport a 4-inch screen and metal casing but without the 3D Touch display that can be found in the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus.
Ming-Chi Kuo, who has a sturdy track record of making accurate speculations, predicts the release of the iPhone mini to be in the first half of 2016. Its launch will be followed by the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus later in the year. Furthermore, Kuo added that Apple is currently working on the new 4-inch iPhone which is similar to an upgraded iPhone 5s.
Furthermore, International Business Times stated on its article that Kuo feels there would be sufficient market demand for a 4-inch Apple iPhone, and apparently, Apple is likely to release an upgraded product in the 4-inch category. He also stated the handset will soon go into mass production for its release in the first quarter of next year. In addition, the Cupertino giant may ship around 20 to 30 million units of the 4-inch iPhone until the end of next year.
Aside from the iPhone 7 Mini, Technology News Extra reported that Kuo estimates that the new series of iPhone will supposedly arrive armored by Apple's A10 processor. Although, it is possible to witness a major performance difference between the iPhone 7 Plus (5.5-inch display) and the iPhone 7 (4.7-inch display), the former will be armed with a 3 GB of RAM while the latter will only have 2 GB.
If Apple will do this strategy, then it will be similar to that of LG's G3 flagship smartphones, wherein the 16 GB version is packed with 2 GB of memory while the 32 GB sports 3 GB RAM. The only difference is that Apple's handsets will differ in terms of screen size and not internal storage capacity.
These are plainly predictions though and changes are expected once the American tech giant announces the devices. For now, avid fans of the iPhone series will have to wait until Apple provides further details and confirmation about the upcoming iPhone 7 Mini.
