Heroes of the Storm will introduce new matchmaking system and some significant changes in ranked match lobbies. Blizzard has announced these changes to be expected during the BlizzCon press conference.
PC Gamer have noted that the existing matchmaking system the Heroes of the Storm is basically the same with StarCraft 2, which was designed for speed but not establishing quality matches.
The new system is believed to reverse the said priorities and he matching up players will be improved as the comparable skills will be highly considered.
A "Grandmaster" ladder will be included among the upcoming changes on the game, Gear Nuke. This will be used to show those users who are already on top of the present ladder.
Low priority matches is expected to improve the matchmaking process for players. In this new system, players will be penalized once they abandoned the game.
To attain a queue based matchmaking, character roles in each group will be balanced. The time that will be used in finding a match will not give any negative effect on the quality of the game as confirmed by the game director himself.

Polygon have confirmed in a statement from the game director, Dustin Browder that this new matchmaking system will be out before the 2015 ends. According to Browder, they intend to release the new matchmaker in the next few weeks but he also mentioned that this is just "an intent, not a promise."
Many hope to experience the game's latest updates before the end of 2015. They think that the new matchmaking system and ranked match will put Heroes of the Storm to the next level.
