After the record-breaking sales of "Halo 5: Guardians," 343 Industries has announced the upcoming DLC with four Big Team Battle maps, new REQs content, and fixes. The new DLC is expected to arrive in November
In a detailed post on Halo Waypoint blog, it is said that the highlight of the soon to be released update is the multiplayer Arena maps for 8v8 Big Team Battle. Four different maps namely Deadlock, Basin, Guillotine, and Recurve will be released. Each map is inspired by the previous "Halo" games maps while some are designed by the "Halo 5" community member via Halo 5 Forge tools.
343 Industries also introduced the new content to be seen in the game's REQ, said Vine Report. More new items are about to be released, but players have had seen the Tracer Armor Set, Tundra Scorpion, Green Machine weapons skin, and a brand new emblem named Flaming Horns.
The update is expected to address the reported game issues which 343 game designers Scott Sims and Chris King have already acknowledged. It was found out that these issues may be caused by changes applied in the new game which they have considered as "slow turn" bug.
The developers are currently working to fix this issue and they will roll out the update after its completion. Furthermore, the update will give players "more custom fine-tuned control over controller settings".
Meanwhile, Tech Times reported that the latest among the Halo franchise brings the series a overall revenue of more than $5 billion. A total of $400 million of the said amount came out during the first week of Guardians on store shelves.
With more than 21 million gameplay hours on Halo 5: Guardians were logged so far, the game developers at 343 Industries said they still have "new stuff" to come "in just over a week."
Halo fans were not surprised that the game received a record breaking sales. The upcoming DLC on November with four new maps, REQs content, and more fixes is just what the fans have in mind.
