After watching Naruto juggle his responsibilities as a Hokage and a father in Boruto: Naruto the Movie, series creator Masashi Kishimoto hinted that it could be Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha's relationship that will be featured in a new movie.
Without revealing too much details Kishimoto said that it would be good to tell Naruto's story from someone else's perspective. As reported by Yibada, Kishimoto said that there are lots of possibilities for the story. "There are infinite possibilities right now. I suppose one possibility would be to write the story from Sasuke's perspective", he said.
Aside from a spin-off on Sasuke and Naruto's relationship, Kishimoto also added that a story based on the perspective of Naruto's teacher, Sannin Jiraiya is also a possibility. According to Movie News Guide, creating a new film based on another character's perspective will add a new version to the films.
Jiraiya's story will reportedly contain generational difference and will tackle how in his time Jutsu was not as developed or refined. Kishimoto also added that he is considering on creating a sci-fi mangga, but noted that for the time being, he wants to give time to his family.
"There are infinite possibilities right now. If I decide that I want to do more Naruto stories, perhaps I will, perhaps I won't. That said, there is nothing firmly in the works at this time. Just that there is always the possibility...", Kishimoto said.
But while the wait for Kishimoto's next project continues, Design & Trend reported that new series of manggas have been released. The most recent is from "Naruto Gaiden: The Seventh Hokage" series which is set after the Fourth Great Ninja War.
The story centers on Kakashi who goes to the Land of the Waves to save the hostages of a top-secret airship. He lateer comes across a ninja whose has gone through tragedy. After losing his friend's eyes and his abilities, Kakashi's capability of protecting anyone is tested.
It was announced in May that a new series which centers on other characters from the Naruto series will be released, although Naruto will not appear in it. More details on the potential Boruto: Naruto the Movie spin-off will be released as soon as it is confirmed.
