The "Arrow" and "The Flash" crossover episodes will feature nine superheroes as per the recent revelation of actor Stephen Amell. It has also been reported that a legendary couple will be making an appearance in these much-awaited episodes.
In a report by Comic Book, "Arrow" star Stephen Amell said on the set of the show that there will be nine costumed heroes appearing in one scene of the crossover episodes. He shared, "We shot a scene that had, like, nine superheroes in it. Nine people with either powers or super-suits. It was an amazing thing to look out over the scene and see the world that has been built over the course of three-plus years."
According to TheBitBag, a promo photo was released on Twitter by executive producer Marc Guggenheim in which seven superheroes were named. These are Black Canary, Speedy, Green Arrow, Diggle, The Flash, and The Hawks. It is speculated that The Atom and White Canary will be part of the nine superheroes who will be seen in the "Arrow" and "The Flash" crossover episodes.
Accordingly, these crossover episode will also introduce the characters of another DC spin-off on The CW which will be shown by January. The show is entitled "Legends of Tomorrow" and the major villain is said to be an immortal character named Vandal Savage.
Guggenheim continued to tease fans in an interview for the "Arrow" and "The Flash" crossover episodes and Ecumenical News shared, "There's a lot of things that are really cool about this year's crossover, one of which is the fact that there really is a true 2-part story unlike last year where it was two interconnected episodes where each had their own beginning, middle, and end. This is a big two-part event, one single bad guy, and it will very clearly launch 'Legends of Tomorrow.'"
As for the legendary couple, there has been no details about it yet.
The crossover episode for "The Flash" will be airing on December 1 and it is entitled "Legends of Today." And for the crossover episode of "Arrow," it will be shown on December 2 and it is entitled "Legends of Yesterday." Both shows will be at 8 PM on The CW.
