Tekken 7 Comes to PS4, Xbox One Next Year; Bandai Namco Announce New Game Modes, Characters

Game developer Bandai Namco announced that Tekken 7 will reach out to more players as it will be available to platforms Playstation 4 and Xbox One next year. There will also be new game modes and likely inclusions of guest characters.

The announcement came during the 2015 Paris Games Week as Bandai Namco detailing the launch dates for console versions, Yibada informed. The developer also reveal new game modes and possible guest characters. The newest sequel of the Tekken franchise will have a prompt release date for Playstation 4 and Xbox One.

Game creator Katsuhiro Harada was quoted saying that Tekken 7 will also augment fresh features that are not in the arcade version and exclusive PlayStation VR gameplay. To enhance graphics and visuals, Unreal 4 Engine will be utilized while in-depth storyline and new game modes will be the elements for the console versions, the site added.

Similarly, Yibada referred to Harada stating that Tekken 7 will likely feature guest character to gain more attention to the gaming fans. Past Tekken characters are also being speculated in the likes of Jun Kazama, Angel, Kunitmitsu and Eliza. The current character roster in Tekken 7 comprise Jin, Kazuya, Heihachi, Hwoarang, Xiaoyu, Lili, Asuka, Dragunov, King, Yoshimitsu, Bryan Fury, Feng Wei, Steve Fox, Lars Alexandersson, Alisa, Paul Phoenix, Marshall Law, Devil Jin, Claudio Serafino, Katarina Alves, Jose Rizal, Lucky Chloe, Shaheen, Gigas, Jack-7 and Kazumi Mishima.

According to Christian Today, the early release of the franchise for Playstation 4 intends to let more players experience virtual reality gaming. Tekken 7" is one of the titles that were exclusively chosen by Sony PlayStation to provide VR support for its PlayStation VR system.

The site also cited Bandai Namco explaining their decisions of establishing Tekken 7 for the next generation consoles. The game developer also reasoned out that the presumed early takeoff day of the game for the consoles is to kick in advance against competing games specifically Street Fighter 5 by Capcom.

Christian Post wrote that as part of the 20th anniversary of Tekken, the latest installment revolves around the fight among the Mishima clan and its newest member: Kazumi Mishima.

Tekken 7 is developed by Bandai Namco and is expected to be available sometimes in 2016.
