T-Mobile stopped rolling out the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update to Nexus 7 (2013) tablets to reportedly fix some bugs. Google, ASUS, and T-Mobile are working together to resume the Marshmallow rollout by early December.

Ubergizmo reported that carrier T-Mobile recently halted releasing the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update on Nexus 7 (2013) devices. "The update roll out has been temporarily paused," T-Mobile said in its website's Nexus 7 LTE support page. "We expect the update to be available again sometime in early December."

Google, T-Mobile, and ASUS are working together to get the update rolling out as soon as possible. It is believed that a bug has been discovered, causing the delay of the Android Marshmallow update for the Nexus 7.

Updates are usually delayed because of bugs that are discovered on the software. However, update roll outs normally resume after the issue has been fixed. Android Headlines reported that the same applies for the case of the Nexus 7.

The Android 6.0 Marshmallow update started to launch on the Nexus 7 (2013) on October 5. Nexus 7 users who have downloaded the update will receive a new OTA download as soon as it is available.

Those who have not yet downloaded the update but want to get Android Marshmallow right away can use the available Google factory image. The MRA85K build file can be downloaded on Google's website and can be flashed to the Nexus 7 (2013) LTE.

Aside from the Nexus 7, other Nexus devices like the Nexus 5, 6, and 9 are set to receive Android 6.0 Marshmallow as well. Android Geeks reported that Android Marshmallow will bring in a slew of features that will improve device performance and efficiency. Among these features are the app permissions system, Google Now on Tap functionality, Doze mode for battery saving, and Deep Linking.

Android 6.0 Marshmallow will also add support for using microSD cards as default storage, although the Nexus devices do not have a built-in microSD slot. The update will revamp the Share Menu interface and offer Direct Share which recognizes your most-used contacts and places them on top of Share Menu for easy access.
