The rundown for the first episode of "The Big Bang Theory" season 12 entitled "The Matrimonial Momentum" will explore the backstory of Sheldon's supposed proposal on Amy. Amy, on the other hand, will reportedly get hit on by Stuart.
According to Christian Post, showrunner Steve Molaro shared in a recent interview that Sheldon's plan of proposing to Amy was cut off and he had no chance to propose anymore because Amy broke up with him. Molaro shared that fans of the "ShAmy" loveteam will know more about how long he has been keeping the ring and how long he has been planning the proposal.
Molaro teased that Sheldon will not be taking the break-up lightly and as a man of science, he got very frustrated because he cannot think of any solution to get Amy back in his arms, International Business Times reported.
Molaro added, "He doesn't immediately turn to anyone for support; instead, he is going to pursue Amy. His thought processes can get pretty misguided in that that he thinks, 'Oh, this will make her jealous and make her like me again,' but that will only make her furious. He's not good at leaving her alone. The one thing she asked for was a little bit of time to think and he's not going to give that to her."
To make matters worse, Stewart will try hitting on Amy. In an episode during the fifth season of "The Big Bang Theory," Stewart expressed that he wishes to date Amy and they even went out for a movie. However, Sheldon got jealous so he asked Amy to take their relationship to the next level. It remains to be seen if this time, Amy will give Stewart a chance.
Meanwhile, Design & Trend reported that Penny will have a difficult time wrapping her head around the idea that Leonard, her fiancé, kissed someone else while they were dating. It was revealed that the woman Leonard kissed is named Mandy and has appeared in one of the episodes of "The Big Bang Theory" Season 9 and it still remains to be seen how well this would sit with Penny.
"The Big Bang Theory" season 9 will see Sheldon's backstory regarding his supposed proposal to Amy. Stewart is said to hit on Amy and tries his luck asking her on a date again. The CBS series returns September 21.
